Dan Gilbertson

Dan Gilbertson joined Medtronic in 2012 and has held various roles with increasing responsibility focused on Mergers and Acquisitions, including roles in the Neuromodulation Business Unit in Minnesota, and the Europe, Middle East and Africa region in Switzerland.  Having moved back to Minnesota in late 2021, Dan is currently a Senior Director and Chief of Staff for the Corporate Development (M&A) team.  Dan has worked with all of Medtronic’s core therapy businesses of Cardiac, Neuroscience, Surgical, and Diabetes, and currently has added focus on enterprise initiatives, Data/AI, and manufacturing and operations.

Previous to his work at Medtronic, Dan lived in Japan for a number of years both working and studying, which led to working in sales/product management for a Japanese company in their Chicago office, where he conducted business in English and Japanese.  An avid traveler, Dan has been to 50 countries (and counting), and enjoys skiing, golf, and guitar.   Dan currently lives with his wife, Angely, a Colombian native and Spanish passport holder, in Minneapolis.  Dan has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St John’s University (MN), and an MBA from Carlson.
