UnitedHealth Group Actuarial Scholarship
Enrolled University of Minnesota undergraduate students who have a strong interest in a career in healthcare actuarial science are eligible to apply for a UnitedHealth Group Actuarial Scholarship. Up to 15 scholarships may be granted each year for the next five years. The award amount will be up to the cost of two semesters of full-time undergraduate, in-state tuition. The next application cycle will take place in spring 2013.
In addition, the UnitedHealth Group Scholarship program will support two seminars per year relevant to the healthcare marketplace and healthcare actuarial science. Seminars will be announced on this site.
UnitedHealth Group is a sponsor of the UnitedHealth Group Actuarial Scholarship, which is administered and coordinated by the Medical Industry Leadership Institute (MILI) at the Carlson School of Management.

Eligibility Criteria
- Full-time students enrolled in an undergraduate program at any college of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campuses
- Any undergraduate full-time student can apply; preference will be given to students with sophomore or junior status
- Student must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident of the United States, or in the United States lawfully on a non-temporary basis*
- Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA with demonstrated math comprehension and quantitative skills
*Students in the U.S. on a non-immigrant visa (F-1, F-2, J-1, J-2, H-4, or TN visa) are not eligible for this scholarship.
