Aseem Kaul joined Carlson in 2009, having earned his PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Aseem’s interests lie at the intersection of corporate strategy,technology strategy and international business. Specifically, his research examines the effect of technological innovation on the portfolio of businesses and countries that firms compete in, as well as the impact of changes in firm scope and structure on subsequent innovation.  Aseem has been honored with a number of prominent awards - including the Sumantra Ghoshal Research and Practice Award from the BPS Division, Academy of Management, and the Dean’s Fellowship at the Wharton School - and his work has appeared in the Strategic Management Journal
