Alan Benson of the Sloan School of Management will present “Do Agents Game Their Agents’ Behavior? Evidence from Sales Managers.”
Alan Benson of the Sloan School of Management will present “Do Agents Game Their Agents’ Behavior? Evidence from Sales Managers” on Tuesday, February 5, from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. in 1-147 Carlson School.
Benson’s work explores intermediary agency problems, specifically the use and misuse of authority and incentives in organizational hierarchies. He proposes that organizations delegate authority over front-line salespeople to front-line sales managers because they can decompose performance measures into ability and luck.
This seminar is sponsored by the Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies.
