The program is open to the second-year full-time MBA students from Carlson School of Management
Hyderabad is one of the largest metropolitan areas in India and is a major global center for the informational technology industry and the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Hyderabad is located at the crossroads of northern and southern India and for 2012 is named the "Best Heritage City" in India for its unique culture, art, and architecture. The Indian School of Business (ISB) is located in Hyderabad and is one of India's top schools for management education.
The program starts at Delhi with a city tour and welcome dinner. The first week includes guest lectures, company visits, and networking with business leaders in India. A trip to Agra and the Taj Mahal is included over the weekend before flying to Hyderabad for the second week. The program continues a city tour in Hyderabad and with guest lectures at Indian School of Business (ISB) and company visits during the second week. Companies include both domestic and multinational corporations. Cultural visits, time for independent exploration, and a farewell dinner will complement the academic program. To see a copy of the previous year's schedule please contact Carlson Global Institute at cgi@umn.edu.
Students stay in conveniently-located hotels in each city and will share a room with one or two classmates of their same gender. Because networking and community-building are key parts of the program, students will not have the option of a single room. Guests are not permitted during the program. Breakfast daily, a welcome dinner, and closing dinner are provided.
